dc.description.abstract | The study aimed at covid-19 outbreak and development of education sector in uganda with a case study of
Makindye s. s, Makindye and it was guided by the following objectives; To determine the effects of Corona Virus
out break on the development of Education sector, to find ways of strengthening Education sector though in
COVID-19 pandemic and to find ways how the education beneficiaries will operate in corona virus pandemic.
The research used qualitative and quantitative research design. And it was so because the research was both
qualitative and quantitative in nature for showing the impact of COVID-19 outbreak on the development of the
education sector of Uganda. The research covered a population of 200 people in a category of teachers, students,
parents and school heads because helped to give a clear picture of what was affecting the people during and after
the outbreak of Corona Virus Disease 2019. The findings showed that the respondents who believed that the
information circulated frequently were 75(78.9%) respondents, those who believed that the information about
corona virus circulated occasionally were 15(15.8%) respondents and those who believed that the information
never circulated properly were 05(5.3%) respondents. The study recommends that some preventive measures such
as wearing masks, immunization and washing of hands should be highly advised by the government of Uganda to
help in combating corona virus disease. | en_US |
